Crises Centre: Celebrating Milestones and Achievements in Empowering the
Community
Verulam,
13 March 2025 –
Zamasizwe Crises Centre, a dedicated non-profit organization committed to
uplifting disadvantaged children and families, is proud to announce several key
milestones achieved over the past year. Through a combination of dedication,
and community collaboration, Zamasizwe Crises Centre has continuously responded
to the evolving needs of the community. Here are some of the significant
achievements we've made in our mission to eliminate poverty, hunger, and
promote education:
v Expansion of Soup Kitchen
Programs: With an
increasing number of individuals and families facing food insecurity, our soup
kitchen program has seen substantial growth. We have successfully provided over
500 warm meals in the past year to vulnerable children and families in the
Verulam community, alleviating hunger and offering essential nourishment.
v Educational Initiatives for
Children: Through
our children’s Back To School program, Where
we partnered with uMhlasi Lifestyle we have provided over 20 children with
critical educational resources, tutoring, and support.
v Support for Vulnerable Groups: We have been able to extend our
services to children with disabilities, children at risk of abuse, and senior
citizens, ensuring they receive adequate health, nutrition, and social support
services. Through collaboration with local stakeholders, we have successfully
reached over 1,000 community members with these vital services.
v Poverty Alleviation and Food
Parcel Distribution: To
support the most vulnerable, we have distributed over 100 food parcels and
clothing donations to those in need.
As we
look toward the future, we invite potential sponsors and donors to join us in
our mission. Your support is vital in helping us continue to provide these
essential services and create lasting change. Together, we can make a
meaningful difference in the lives of the most vulnerable members of our
community.
